Electroacoustic Composition

In the Spring of 2016, I studied electroacoustic composition with renowned composer Hans Tutschku at the Harvard University Studio for Electroacoustic Composition (HUSEAC). I studied electroacoustic composition in history and in practice, and my final composition was a stereo piece that I then performed on the Hydra Loudspeaker Orchestra, a 40-speaker system controlled from a centralized 32-channel mixing board. My piece, "SOS," is below:

This is a piece about the places our minds go after a trauma. Listen for spaces of escape, memories popping in and out of other memories, and moments of reflection in an effort to find peace. Note: The recording embedded in the site is an MP3 file.
